PRACTISING DRAMA FOR LIFE
World-class theatre on stage, and drama programmes inside UK prisons that build confidence and improve life chances.
ON STAGE
HAMLET, PLAYED BY ONE ACTOR.
Mark Lockyer plays every role in a bare-bones Hamlet directed by Fiona Laird, developed over almost two years at the National Theatre Studio. It opened at Wilton’s Music Hall in April 2025 and now travels to national and International festivals, as well as regional theatres and will return to London in 2027.
My work in theatre as an actor, director and writer, alongside a second career in social care as a drugs and support worker, has provided a solid foundation for my work as a Drama Facilitator. When we practise drama for life we create a unique experience for both personal development and general growth. Dominic McHale, Outreach Director

OUR WORK IN PRISONS:
WHAT PARTICIPANTS TOOK AWAY
100% of the group reported feeling less anxious and more confident after our HMP Wayland and Hollesley Bay pilots, June 2026.
60% said their anxiety had dropped dramatically.
Self-reported by participants in a feedback session. We are now working with the Centre for Social Justice to develop fuller impact measures.
“Anxiety dropped to zero once we actually started.”
“The course was brilliant. Can we do it again?”
“Felt pushed out of my comfort zone: enjoyable, and I smashed it.”
“Regeneration’ Theatre’s sessions made me want to fight to the end, see the outcome and feel the outcome".”

INSIDE PRISONS
DRAMA THAT CHANGES WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.
Forum Theatre workshops that let people rehearse for life after release. We have worked in four prisons this year, (two of them were return visits after successful pilots) and seven more have asked us to come.
